Physiotherapy Department Receives £145

Lymphoedema is a complication that arises as a result of trauma to the lymph nodes, causing swelling to the limbs and sometimes the trunk. Currently there is no cure for this condition and once it has developed it becomes a chronic condition. The Physiotherapy Department asked the Friends if they could supply a specialist calculator to work out limb volumes and allow them to establish problem areas, while monitoring the progress of their Lymphoedema service. The cost is a mere £145.00 which must be worthwhile
