Ambulatory Recorders.jpgThe Cardiology Department at Barnet are in need of additional ambulatory recorders.

These recorders are used for cardiac patients to record both their heart rate/ rhythm and blood pressure over 24 hours. Patients generally take these recorders home one day and return them the following day. The results from these recorders enable the consultant to diagnose the patient's condition without them having to stay in hospital overnight.

24 Hour ECG recorders cost £ 1,712 each and five were required. 24 hour blood pressure recorders cost £1,495 each and four were required. The total cost was £14,540 which the Friends were happy to fund.
